Tuesday is Now Tinkday!

I got another package in the mail! I wasn’t expecting it either.

When I got it I looked it over to see who had sent this to me....
Photobucket

Hey! It’s from TINK!
Photobucket

What’s in there??
Photobucket

Ooooooooooo ... It’s a CD!
Photobucket

So I quickly put the CD into my computer to hear all the cool tunes she had put on there ...
Photobucket

And then I put on my party had and cranked up the air guitar.
Photobucket

I was going to do a little video of me dancing to the music, but unfortunately the batteries died in my camera. Too bad, huh? Maybe another time. ;-)

Anyway, thanks so much to Tink for just up and sending me a CD with some great music like that. Tink was the first regular commenter here on my blog who wasn’t obligated to comment, so I have a lot of affection for her already. But, you add to that the fact that she’s a super talented writer, has a great sense of humor and is quite possibly the greatest all-around human being on planet Earth, not to mention her being a stone cold hottie, well you can see why everyone loves her so much.

And I sure do hope that you aren’t wasting your time reading crummy books when you could be reading Twisted Tink. I mean, how could you be wasting your time reading the unimaginative and boring gar-bahge that is being pumped out by the publishing industry when you could be entertained by Twisted Tink!

Anyway, Tink freaking rocks!

Brought to us by Tink, of course! This week’s words are Smooth and Rough.

This little Calphalon skillet is really smooth...
Photobucket

But, this cast iron skillet is kinda rough...
Photobucket

Ducks look really smooth when in flight...
Photobucket

The cold weather and all the cloud cover have left these flowers looking a little rough...
Photobucket

This parking lot has been recently resurfaced and is pretty smooth ...
Photobucket

This little craw daddy was having a rough time trying to figure out where he was after all the high water the last couple of weeks...

Jay?? You have crawdads?? Can I come down and do a little crawdad fishing? Oh, and as a new reader of Tink, I must say she really is funny. I haven't yet gotten up the courage to actually leave a comment on her blog though - the little bugger intimidates me!

fiwa said...

I'll drink a toast to TinkDay! Tink Rocks!

Great pictures this week Jay - I have pan envy - my skillet is warped and my wallet doesn't want to dish out the bucks for a new one. And I can't believe you have crawdads! I haven't seen one of those in so long - all the lawn fertilizers and weed killers killed 'em off down in the part of Texas I'm from. And that's really sad, cuz crawdad hunting is a great past time for kids.

lovins!

Jay said...

Dana: Not only do we have crawdads we have a Crawdad Days Festival every May! It's a big party.

Fiwa: There were people out there today with their traps hunting for crawdads near the creek. I don't know if they're gonna boil them or use them as bait. It could go either way. ;-)

And the tourney closes with the usual Kansas choke in the big game.

This years N.C.A.A. tourney was not one of it's more shining moment.

DirkStar said...

OH MY FREAKIN GAWD!!

What a shot...

O.T., Baby!

Jen said...

I love that Tink too! (I need a list of that music to see how cool she REALLY is. . . ) ***wink, wink***

And, crawdads are good eatin'!

Nice WWC. Someday I hope to join back in.

crse said...

I needed someone new to stalk. I think i will stalk tink! You know this is not the first time a crawdad has appeared in your blog. I just feel really compelled to comment on that Jay. I think it might be an arkansas thing...I mean that with deep respect of course...

Jay said...

Dirkstar: God didn't want Memphis to win either. Kansas wins it all and now Bill Self can go home to Okie St and make 50 million over the next 10 years.

Jen: Yeah, there actually wasn't a play list, but I recognized most of the songs, but could just spit out the title of them. Trust me though, it was good music. ;-)

Crse: That's true. I did post a pic of Crawdad Dude last year. Good point. ;-)

DirkStar said...

Wow...

Kansas finally provides the shining moment.

The three pointer was the shot of the tourney.

And I've been screaming about the three point shooting the whole tourney...

What a game?

Karen said...

I TOTALLY want to download that picture you playing air guitar and make it my background.

What music did Tink share? Anything good?

Jay said...

Dirkstar: That was everything great about sports there at the end. Never give up! Never stop believing!

Karen: You're more than welcome to immortalize me by making that pic your background. LOL

Well, there's some Coldplay, The Killers, Kenna, Plain White Ts and more! 19 songs in all!

Jay said...

Jo: I love it when a hot chick says "I love your pans" to me. LOL

I don't eat crawdads, but a lot of people love them.

Avitable: Yeah, it probably should be. The chicks will go wild for it.

Peggy said...

If I could, I'd boil me up some crawdads in honor of Tinkday! Love me that Tink!

Got a track list for us there big man?

Newt said...

I totally did the Tink dance the other day too. But I wasn't smart enough to photograph it like you did. And I too need a party hat. I'm all over the idea of Tuesday Tinkday! And your WWC is awesome. Love the skillets. HATE the fact that you have daffodils. I am SOOOOOO jealous! Dude, it's NOT fair! We still have snow piles - not many, but snow piles still exist. Sigh...........

katy said...

how sweet of Tink, so glad you got the hat on, but hey not sure about these craw thingies they look a bit scary to me!

Reb said...

You really do rock that hat, I must say however that a beard would bring out the true Viking in you! (Do we want that?)

Love the photos as always and I am very jealous of the daffodils! Is there a difference between a crawdad and a lobster? I like the light in the ripples on that shot.

Dianne said...

Tink: Nope. Not stopping. You deserve all those compliments and more.

Those things are probably in YOUR water too. ;-)

Peggy: Oddly enough, no, I don't have a track list. But as I said it's full of great stuff. No country!

Jay said...

Newt: And even more flowers are blooming now! LOL ;-)

Katy: They are kind of creepy looking, aren't they? Like some prehistoric creatures.

Reb: I think crawdads are like mini-lobsters. Well, maybe not, but they look like 'em and people eat them like they do lobsters.

Jay said...

Diane: I should just run off to Hollywood and become a star. ;-)

Cynnie: I don't have any cash, but would be willing to .. uh .. you know .. work "something" out. ;-)

Blancodeviosa: He stole the look from me. haha
